Purim is upon us! It comes just once a year; a day to celebrate the miraculous survival of our people, “in those days, at this time”. Purim shouts out loud and clear: Am Yisroel Chai! Regardless of what enemies arise against us Hashem is with us, his beloved people.
This is cause for celebration. Don’t miss this once a year opportunity of celebrating and thanking Hashem for His kindness and love towards us. Join our Purim celebrations on Purim night, March 20, and do your best to follow the customs of the day: 1: Hear the Megillah once at night and then again during the day; 2: Give gifts of food to a friend; 3: Gifts to the Poor (charity); 4: Partake in a Purim Feast. If you’re brave enough, come in costume – adults too. Why not? It’s Purim!
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Shalom M Paltiel

POWER SUNDAYS - ADULT EDUCATION beginning THIS SUNDAY!
Oh, the things people will do to “find themselves”—traveling to Tibet and Timbuktu, spending time on a therapist’s couch... Yet, the answers can be found in a book you probably own already. No, not Freud’s “Interpretation of Dreams.” Your Chumash, or Bible. Perhaps you read it every week or maybe you received it as a Bar Mitzvah gift and it’s been unused since then. Either way, Chabad of Port Washington’s upcoming JLI course, “Gaining Control – The Book of Leviticus” can help you apply the concepts found in the Torah to your everyday life.
It's not too late to join us for our Sunday morning "Torah Studies" series. This meaningful & enjoyable adult education course for men and women is held in the social hall at Chabad every Sunday morning, complete with a sumptuous brunch and great company! Take a closer look at Judaism and explore the timeless messages of the weekly Torah Portion throughout time. All are welcome: 10:00—11:20 am. Click here for more information and to register - it's not too late!

George Kalinsky's work featured in Times Square! |
 |
 |

Longstanding Chabad member George Kalinsky, who has been the photographer at Madison Square Garden for the past 35 years, we recently chosen to have his work displayed on billboard in Times Square. Click here to see some of the billboards.
george has been involved with our Chabad for the past 17 years, from the very beginning before we had our own Chabad House and we would meet at the office of Dr. Brownstein for Lunch 'N Learn every week. He has been a good friend and staunch supporter and member of our Chabad ever since. Although he and his wife June have moved to New York City close to 10 years ago, he still remains active in our Chabad, and now his children Lee and Michelle have become involved and his grandson Joshua attends our Florence Brownstein Preschool.
George, we are very proud of you and all you have accomplished.
