I’m excited to share with you that Chabad has been invited back to the Coliseum to perform a pre-Purim celebration as a sequel to the exciting pre-Chanukah Celebration with the NY Islanders. I hope to utilize this opportunity to promote the observance of the Holiday and share its inspiring message with the thousands gathered in the arena.
Please join me in this Kiddush Hashem (sanctifying, publicizing the name of G‑d), bringing the joy of the holiday to the Islanders Fan on Tuesday, March 18, during their game against the Maple Leafs. You can look forward to an extraordinary evening of celebration, pride and fun with highlights including Purim-themed Thunderstix for the first 5,000 fans, personal Purim guides for all, a captivating Purim message and more.
Special promotional tickets to this historic game are available for purchase at www.IslandersPurim.com. The deeply discounted (30% - 50%) ticket prices are: $54 - Lower Level Seating | $39 - Center Ice Level | $29 - Endzone Level. The game starts at 7pm on Tuesday. Tickets ordered through Chabad will be available at the ‘will call’ window as ‘Chabad group’. For further information, email [email protected] or call Chabad of Port Washington at 516-767-8672, ext. 102.
This exciting event, sponsored by North Shore Motor Group, is the ultimate pre-Purim festivity you don’t want to miss! Chabad would like to show a crowd coming out for this game. This will encourage the Islanders to allow us to do this once again for future holidays. Please purchase as many tickets as you can and join us!
Wishing you a Good Shabbos,
Rabbi Shalom Paltiel

Community Mishloach Manot - Purim Gift Baskets |
 |
 |
It is a mitzvah to give gifts of food, Mishloach Manot, to friends on Purim. One beautiful way to do this mitzvah is through the community gifts baskets.
Here's how it works: Rather than every family preparing their own gift baskets to deliver to their friends, the shul organizes joint gift baskets. Every member of Chabad as well as Hebrew School and Day School families will receive one gift basket. Along with the basket will be a list of those families who "participated" in this particular basket, as their Purim gift to this particular family. (Size of basket will depend on number of families "participating").
The funds raised will go toward a new, state-of-the-art playground for our Chabad Academy students. It is also a great way of building community awareness and togetherness. We hope you received the form in the mail by now. We ask that you fill it out and return the form before the approaching deadline of Friday, March 7. Misplaced the form? No problem, download it here - print and mail to Chabad, 80 Shore Road, Port Washington NY 11050.
