More than 100 women from across northern Delaware practically dove in to bowls of dough Sunday as part of the second-annual Mega Challah Bake workshop.
Hosted by Rochel Flikshtein, youth and family program director at Chabad-Lubavitch of Delaware, the event at the Jewish Community Center in Wilmington offered participants a hands-on lesson in making the bread traditionally eaten at Sabbath tables around the world and the act’s spiritual significance.
“In Judaism, we do our best to bring joy into our families,” Flikshtein told The News Journal. “The home is the central place that G‑d is found and a reminder that G‑d is with us everywhere.”
